Layla Zickefoose, MSW, LISW
Layla Zickefoose is a licensed counselor in Virginia and Ohio. She earned her master’s in Clinical Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. She enjoys whole-person treatment, believing that God created our physical, mental and spiritual selves to be intricately connected.
Layla earned a certification in nutrition and mental health in 2022 and also has specialized training in trauma care. Before moving to Ohio, Layla worked as a counselor in the Washington D.C. area and volunteered to help those caught in human trafficking. Layla and her husband Dusty have two young kids.
Areas of focus: Anxiety, Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Trauma, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
Alan Gruber, MA, MSW, LISW-S
Alan Gruber has formal training in biblical and clinical counseling before completing his Master’s in Clinical Social Work from The University of Cincinnati. He has a variety of experience ministering to others, particularly to those facing major life transitions.
Alan enjoys studying and reading in his free time. Alan and his wife Joan have two daughters and one grandson. Joan and one of his daughters are also social workers! Their other daughter provides foster care.
Areas of Focus: Grief, Health Issues and Life Transitions.
Tiffany Fishbaugh, MSW, LCSW, LISW-S
Tiffany has over 25 years of experience counseling people in all stages of life. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from The Ohio State University and has provided care in a variety of settings including long-term care, hospice, and inpatient psychiatric care.
She finds it especially meaningful to encourage her clients with God’s word and in their walk with Him throughout the counseling process. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and has been a presenter at national conferences, including the 2021 AACC World Conference where she spoke on “Making Your Way into Their Reality: Meaning of Behavior in Dementia.” She has also presented for the Association of Christians in Health and Human Services.
Tiffany and her husband, Channon, have five children and one grandchild. Together, they serve as Co-Area Coordinators for Operation Christmas Child in West Central Ohio.
Areas of Focus: Marriage Counseling, Depression, Anxiety, Gerontology, End-of-life, and Dementia.
Amanda Rearick, MA, LPCC-S
Amanda has years of experience treating a wide range of mental health needs. She believes that true healing cannot happen without Jesus Christ and faith in Him. She graduated from the University of Akron with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Amanda enjoys walking with individuals with trauma and complex mental health challenges. Amanda also enjoys assisting children, teens and their families in managing mental health concerns.
In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time in the sun, traveling, reading and playing with her two young children, dog and husband.
Areas of focus: Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, and parenting skills. She is also trained in EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
John Evans, M.A. in Biblical Counseling
John holds a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS) and is currently pursuing his PhD in Biblical Counseling at SBTS. He is also a member of the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC) and a Biblical and Pastoral Counselor in cooperation with the Confessional Statement of the Biblical Counseling Coalition.
His counseling philosophy emphasizes an embodied approach that addresses both the spiritual and physiological aspects of the whole person. Rooted in a gospel-centered framework, his practice is theologically saturated, relationship-focused, and informed by church history, while also considering how body and soul affect one another.
In addition to his theological training, John is certified in both traditional and microcurrent neurofeedback, equipping him to integrate practical physiological interventions alongside biblical counseling.
Areas of Focus: Marriage Counseling, Men’s Issues, Relational Wounds.
Micaela Staudenmaier, LPC
Micaela is passionate about walking alongside people in a way and providing care that is clinically sound while deeply rooted in biblical truth.
She holds a degree in Christian Counseling from Bible college and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grace College. Her desire is to create a Christ-centered, welcoming space where clients can process their struggles and discover hope, healing, and lasting transformation.
Micaela also strives to bring a culturally attuned perspective to counseling as a first-generation immigrant. She has a particular heart for those navigating bicultural or multicultural experiences and serves clients who speak Spanish and clients who speak English.
She believes that true healing encompasses the whole person: emotional, mental, relational, and spiritual, and seeks to walk with clients toward restoration in each of these areas.
Areas of focus: Teens, Anxiety, Depression, and Women’s Issues.
John Richardson,
John is currently pursuing his Master of Arts in Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary. He has a desire to help people heal in ways that support better functioning and leads to a rich relationship with Jesus Christ.
John has a variety of experience in soul care. He has ministered to people in Ghana, youth in his church, and to special needs youth through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. He is especially interested in helping people process and recover from relational wounds, conflict, and abuse.
With a B.S. in Exercise Science, John has spent years as a personal trainer, having frequent conversations with people about wellness. He enjoys learning about the ways God has created our minds, bodies, and souls in order to help others through biblical counseling.
Areas of focus: Relational Wounds, Redeeming Conflict, Restoring Gospel-Centered Identity.
Emily Morrone, NCCA Licenced Clinical Pastoral Counselor
Emily is passionate about people knowing who God is and being known by Him. She is trained in deeply understanding ways that God created us with unique differences that greatly impact how we function in the world.
Emily particularly enjoys helping people understand themselves and their Creator God better. She brings a wealth of experience to the counseling room, having worked with students and families as an educator in science for seven years.
She is an active member at her church serving on the worship and prayer team and leads the elementary program. She lives in Louisiana with her husband and loves going for daily walks and cooking for her family.
Areas of Focus: Career guidance, ADHD, and Executive Functioning.
Lydia Spreng
Lydia is a counselor in training. She is in her second year at Grace College and Seminary, pursuing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Lydia desires to remind people they are loved and uniquely and wonderfully made by God, and that Jesus offers hope no matter our circumstances.
Lydia has worked for more than 10 years as an RN, primarily in women’s health, including labor & delivery, high-risk OB case management, and walking alongside women desiring tobacco cessation. Lydia and her husband have three wonderful young boys who keep them entertained and busy!

Beth Brown, MSW, LSW
Beth Brown has a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Political Science from Wright State University and her master’s in Social Work from Indiana Wesleyan. She works as a school mental health counselor, and has experience with behavior intervention and trauma informed care.
Beth is a leader for Bible Study Fellowship and really enjoys ministry to women. Beth also loves to travel and took an epic trip to Spain in 2023!
Areas of focus: Children, Teens, Women’s Issues, Depression and Anxiety.
Dustin Zickefoose
Dusty Zickefoose oversees the billing and daily operations of Maranatha Family Counseling. As a former corrections officer and an aid at a psychiatric residential facility, Dustin spent years working to help struggling people through vast experiences. He has a specific desire to be involved in the soul care of others and to help men struggling with sexual sin.
Dusty graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s in Criminal Justice in 2017. In his free time, he enjoys woodworking and reading about theology and the bible.
