Rates and Good Faith Estimate

We accept self-paying clients and a wide variety of insurance plans (depending on the counselor you see). 

Insurance 

When we are in network with a client’s insurance, we will submit claims. When we are out of network, clients can look into using their out of network benefits for visits. Ask us, and we will help you through that process. 

Self-Pay Rates 

Self-pay rates range from $100-$150 for an initial session and $90-$120 for subsequent sessions. 

We accept credit card, checks, and cash. We also accept Health Savings Accounts or Flexible Spending Accounts. 

Affordability 

We want our services to be accessible, so ask us about our reduced rates policy if your insurance offers no reimbursement benefits. 

Missed Appointments 

We charge for appointments missed or canceled without a 24-hour notice from the time of session. Please refer to your therapist’s consent form for rates. Exceptions are made for a cancellation that is for sickness or a health-related emergency. 

Good Faith Estimate

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.  You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. 

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

Explanation of a Good Faith Estimate 

This information is for clients who do not have insurance or who decide not to use insurance under the No Surprises Act passed in 2022. This is in order to provide transparency so you can have an idea of what your medical care, including your mental health care, will cost before starting treatment. We do our best to provide you an accurate estimation of services but at times, the length of time and the type of services can vary based on the client’s expressed needs. Various things can play into those needs including finances, availability, and readiness for treatment. Therapists at Maranatha Family Counseling are prepared to discuss treatment options that fit client needs, and clients are free to end services at any time.
