That habit can sometimes help with mood regulation.<\/p>\n<p>So, I\u2019m going to try to practice what I say. My family and I recently moved to the Dayton, Ohio area. For the next 30 days, I\u2019m going to be using my camera to notice moments and stay present as I adjust to life in a new place. Each day I\u2019ll be taking one picture of something in the area and posting it on the Maranatha Family Counseling Facebook page. <\/p>\n<p>Anxiety by definition is dwelling on the uncertainty of the future. Depression can keep people wallowing in the past. A focus on the moment can help us practice ways to stay regulated and focused on what is happening NOW. There is so much that is healthy about that habit. <\/p>\n<p>Today has enough trouble for it\u2019s own (Matthew 6:24). This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24).
